Fan versus SuperFan

The concept of a SuperFan is important to understand for artists. It is hard to understand the difference between a SuperFan and a Fan. It’s a concept commonly overlooked, but ‘you know it when you see it.’

Here’s a few things to help you identify your SuperFans -

- They consume (and buy) everything you put out

- They show up early to hang with the artist and stay late

- They invite, cajole, and often force their friends to come see the band

- They give you feedback - good and bad - on your art, whether it be songs, art, or your performance

And, most importantly, they are proud to be a SuperFan.

A SuperFan is proud to be a part of your fan base and they see your success as part of their success.

The great thing about SuperFans - if you enable your SuperFans to spread the word about you, your marketing task is enormously easier.
